Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our criminal defense legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in criminal law. This position requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to litigate effectively, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with other attorneys and clients to navigate complex criminal defense legal issues while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
– Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and issues.
– Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and briefs.
– Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various criminal defense legal matters.
– Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
– Stay updated on changes in criminal defense laws, regulations, and case precedents
– Utilize Westlaw for research purposes and criminal defense case management.
– Collaborate with criminal defense attorneys on case strategy and litigation plans.
– Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and case developments.
Skills
– Strong knowledge of criminal law.
– Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
– Proficient in legal drafting with attention to detail.
– Ability to litigate cases confidently in court settings.
– Strong research skills utilizing tools such as Westlaw.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual caseloads.
– A commitment to ethical practice and professional development within the legal field.
-Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus but not a requirement

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
